On finding the words

I’m sure you’ve been there with your own writing.

You struggle to say something and you just can’t find the words.

You get frustrated.

You ball up the paper (literally or figuratively) and throw it across the room.

You start again.

You leave it for a while.

You come back to it.

You go do more work because you know what this means and how to use it. Maybe in using these concepts you will be able to better articulate what you’ve discovered and communicate it to others.

You have a Eureka moment where it all flows out of you.

You are really pleased. You give the draft to a friend to read, or even send it off for review…

You get the comments back … it’s still too abstract. You’re on the right track but it isn’t ready.

That’s what happened with my Services For Individuals page.

I’ve posted a new version. I think it’s better. But if you are confused or unclear, do let me know.

If this process sounds all too familiar, know that it is normal. You’ll get there.
